Visited the Government Art Collection: a few interesting pieces and a mass of 3rd rate paintings and drawings. Who decides to spend our tax money on this dreary stuff? When asked 'do you ever sell off anything?' they answered "the only things we would be willing to sell would be the kind of thing no one would want to buy"!!! Re ipse dixit!
